10 Best Toys for Kids who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Finding toys that are specifically designed for deaf children are far and few between, but if you look closely, you’re sure to find a few hidden gems on the world wide web. As a mother of a child who was born deaf, I wanted to find toys for him that helped stimulate his other senses. Though he’ll be undergoing cochlear implant surgery at the end of this month, I wanted to find a few gift ideas for his first birthday.
Here are a few I found; some of which I own.

My son is obsessed with anything that lights up! This cute jellyfish responds to you baby’s movements and rewards their curiosity with a color-changing light show along with melodies. Scrabble is always a fun game to play with the family, but it’s even more fun when playing it with ASL tiled scrabble pieces! This is a great way to learn sign language!

This dynamic toy is perfect for those who love to design and build things. You can stack, spin, balance, tilt, wiggle, topple, wiggle and roll these toys. The colorful and unique gripping texture makes this an ideal gift for kids of any age!
