Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
For those that know me, it comes as no surprise to hear that I love cookies. Like, I love all kinds of cookies, but if you put cookies in front of me with peanut butter and chocolate, I’m in heaven.
This recipe is a modified recipe from my other favorite cookie recipe here on the blog. But, I added peanut butter to it, because I love peanut butter.
These cookies are easy to make, and so delicious.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup butter, softened (do not melt)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups unsifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons hot water
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup walnuts (optional)
- 1 cup Jif peanut butter
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter and sugars together
- Add in the eggs and vanilla
- Stir in the baking soda and warm water
- Gradually mix in the flour and salt to rest of mixture
- Mix in the chocolate chips and optional walnuts
- Mix in peanut butter
- Spread 2 tablespoon-sized balls of dough two inches apart on baking sheet
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden
- Remove from oven
- Let cool and enjoy!
