Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

For those that know me, it comes as no surprise to hear that I love cookies. Like, I love all kinds of cookies, but if you put cookies in front of me with peanut butter and chocolate, I’m in heaven.

This recipe is a modified recipe from my other favorite cookie recipe here on the blog. But, I added peanut butter to it, because I love peanut butter.

These cookies are easy to make, and so delicious.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup butter, softened (do not melt)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups unsifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons hot water
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts (optional)
  • 1 cup Jif peanut butter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter and sugars together
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla
  4. Stir in the baking soda and warm water
  5. Gradually mix in the flour and salt to rest of mixture
  6. Mix in the chocolate chips and optional walnuts
  7. Mix in peanut butter
  8. Spread 2 tablespoon-sized balls of dough two inches apart on baking sheet
  9. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden
  10. Remove from oven
  11. Let cool and enjoy!
